joined this regular service proj in sch recently so have been going down every sat to help some intellectually disabled ppl..really qt glad i joined this. i loved seeing how they alw have smiles on their faces (ok maybe not alw but almost all the time) and especially when a few of them begins to get really excited and start singing along or dancing to the songs or just enjoying themselves during games session. some will wave happily to u when u acty haven't talked to them or taught them at all..and this guy even gave me a tchers' day card out of nowhere..just went like 'hey write your name inside and this is for u! nah happi tchers' day!' hahaha they are seriously cute! so much so u just cant help but smile when u see them. hehe.
today was like, hmm the third week i've been there..and i've had a change of 3 trainees! haha but luckily today's one is really my permanent trainee. hahaha but acty i liked the first 2 trainees too~ :P the first was this very enthu girl who loves to laugh..and her laughter is seriously qt contagious. haha and she's super enthu in activities! alw one of the first to raise her hands and she loves to imitate what others say haha so sometimes it'll turn out pretty funny. haha the second was this guy who is seriously very sweet!! haha cos he drew for me caricatures of me and his other trainers and himself both when i was his trainer last week and this week cos it's tchers' day! haha maybe the pictures dont really look like us..but thts besides the pt! hehe was qt shocked to receive it today cos like..ya im nt his trainer anymore mahz. and he learnt to write my name!! haha so im happy! plus he's like super easy to take care..qt independent. and my permanent trainee..hmm a bit quiet. but still not bad~ she can be enthu when she wants to be..haha but sometimes a bit lazy only. but it's easy to communicate with her so it's gd! only catch is tht..heard her mother qt particular..and she wants to come along with us for our farm outing next week..haha so a bit scary! but oh well, haha everything will turn out well.
plus the volunteers there are really pretty nice to talk to..easy-going and all. so im really glad~! haha much better than what i joined last yr where i practically felt like i was doing nothing at all.
hope it continues like this. or become even better! hehe :P
